What's Your Story?
At workshop this
year, FYP treated us to a wonderful guest speaker - Karen Phelps.
Karen has many years of experience in direct selling and she shared a TON of
information with us in a short amount of time. At workshop, we received her
'It's A Party Out There!' workbook, 'Master the Mechanics of Mentoring' 4 Disc CD
Set,
'It's A Party Out There!' CD and the 'It's A Party Out There!' DVD
I want YOU to be
able to experience hearing and watching Karen Phelps in action!
For September, I am giving away TWO sets of training materials!

Spontaneous Sponsoring CD Program: How To
Sponsor More Business Builders
Overcoming Objections CD: Help them say YES to having a party!
Increase Your Party Attendance CD:Control your calendar, Avoid Cancellations
Build Your Bookings CD: Calling List, Increase Bookings at Parties
This 4 CD set retails for $125! I am giving TWO sets away this month - Do
YOU want one?
This promotion will be in a 'raffle'
form but you must do TWO things to get into the raffle.
1. Share YOUR Story/Party Intro 2. Submit at least ONE qualifying
party in September.
Submitting Your Story/Party Intro - Do you
realize how important the opening of your party is?
Have you thought about how many potential reps you don't reach? Let's take this
month to
re-vamp our party introductions, to make them fun and enjoyable, relatable, and
profitable!
Karen Phelps spent a lot of time talking about the importance of our stories at
workshop.
Look at the top of this page, that is my
re-worked party intro. Before workshop, it certainly
didn't sound like that. I took what I learned at workshop and used it to write my
story. I want
you to do the same. There are some tips below as well. Take your time, practice it
at
parties, say it in a mirror, say it to your cat if you'd like - but practice it and
get a good
feel for it. Once you think it's ready to share, post it on our Southern Spice Board.
The subject line should say '(Insert Your Name)'s Party Intro.' - Just type it out
and e-mail
it in to share with the group. Just your INTRO, not your product descriptions or
payment
methods, left right games or any of that - JUST YOUR INTRO - but think about it
first, see
if all of the things below fit, maybe now's a good time to re-write it or maybe
it's perfect already!
Know Your 'Why' - Why did you want to work at home? Why did you pick FYP? Tell it!
Relate to People - Will people in the audience relate to your story?
Be HONEST - don't make up your story - your story is NOT dull - share it!
Share your successes but don't make them sound un-attainable or really hard to do.
Timing - Keep it UNDER TWO MINUTES - people lose focus after 2 minutes.
If you worked for a specific company and weren't happy, don't name the company!
Use your eyes - look around the room while
you talk, look at each person.
You must share your story by September 30th at Midnight EST on
the Southern Spice Bulletin
Board.
Entries by sponsors on behalf of their downline will not be acceptable - they need
to do this themselves.
You do not have to request your entry, I will automatically enter every eligible
person. One entry per
person, not per qualifying party. Winners will be drawn by the 18th of October or
before.
